Some songs demand to be felt, not just sung. “Don’t Cry Out Loud” is one of those timeless pieces, and performing it live on stage is quite rare - I don't get the chance to perform this song enough.
Originally made famous by Melissa Manchester, the song has always spoken to me with its message of quiet strength and resilience. Bringing it to life in front of an audience allowed me to connect with the lyrics in a whole new way.
