Meeting Mario Lopez was one of those surreal moments that remind you how far passion and persistence can take you. We met at a massive event in Los Angeles where I performed the international debut of my latest original single, “So Think Twice.” Mario is a man of many talents — from his iconic role as A.C. Slater in Saved by the Bell to his appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful , and now as one of the dynamic hosts of Access Hollywood . Despite his incredible career, he carries himself with genuine warmth and professionalism that instantly puts everyone at ease. Performing “So Think Twice” on that stage, surrounded by artists, speakers, and industry greats like Mario, was a defining experience. It was more than just a performance — it was a moment of connection, inspiration, and proof that dreams backed by hard work really do come full circle. 

Some songs demand to be felt, not just sung. “Don’t Cry Out Loud” is one of those timeless pieces, and performing it live on stage is quite rare - I don't get the chance to perform this song enough. Originally made famous by Melissa Manchester, the song has always spoken to me with its message of quiet strength and resilience. Bringing it to life in front of an audience allowed me to connect with the lyrics in a whole new way. Thank you to everyone who was there that night. Some of the best moments happen offstage — like meeting the incredible Paul Signorelli backstage during one of my live performances. Paul’s reputation as a thought leader and speaker precedes him, but what struck me most was his warmth and genuine interest in the creative process. As the owner of Doltone House & other ventures, he is one of Sydney's most successful entrepreneurs in the hospitality space. It’s encounters like these that make every show even more meaningful. Grateful for the connection and the inspiration that continues long after the spotlight fades.

Gloria is one of the most iconic disco songs of the 80s, made famous by Laura Branigan’s powerful vocals and high-energy performance. Fun fact: the song actually started out as an Italian pop/folk track by Umberto Tozzi in 1979. One of my most memorable performance moments was sharing the stage with Jeremy Piven — the Emmy-winning actor behind Ari Gold in Entourage and the star of Mr. Selfridge. This happened at a major event in West Palm Beach, Florida, where Jeremy was a headline speaker. He shared fascinating insights about the entertainment industry — from navigating Hollywood to the realities behind the spotlight. His perspective was inspiring and reminded me of the resilience it takes to thrive in this business.  Performing at the same event was truly special, and I’d love the chance to share the stage with him again someday.

This is one of the most underrated love songs and power ballads of the 80s! “Total Eclipse of the Heart” , written by Jim Steinman and performed by Bonnie Tyler, is a masterpiece in lyric, storytelling, and emotion. It’s also one of my favourite songs to perform live onstage. And in this video, there’s a funny bonus — the crowd turns into my backup singers, and the horn section even breaks into “literal” choreography.
